Juz Kitson invites professional practicing artists from all over the world to apply to come and work at her Studio and live in the adjoining cottage at The Art House Milton on the south coast of NSW for a 1 month Artist in Residency Program.

The Art House Milton Artist in Residency Program is an opportunity for a professional artist to live and work at The Art House Milton. A time for rest and rejuvenation, for exploring new ideas, having time to reflect and wonder.

Selected resident artists are encouraged to explore the lush countryside and coastal natural environment surrounding The Art House Milton, explore new ideas and develop their practice and experiment with new mediums.

Residencies are open to established, full-time practising artists working across all mediums and not limited to ceramics.

The studio is well equiped with Ceramic and Paint tools. 3 Large timber tables, several fold out tressal tables, slab roller, flood lights and lamps, airy light filled studio space with hardwood timber floors and white ply walls to drill into and hang from, or mount canvases. Large timber beams on ceiling to hang from. Large outdoor covered deck area, useful for using toxic substances or painting/ drying works.

All ceramic works made while undertaking the residency can be fired in the Gas Kiln at the end of residency period.

Juz will select two residents per year for a paid min. 2 week up to 1 month period of studio & cottage residency.

Portfolio applications are collected annually until 1st October for review and selection for anytime until December 31st 2024.  

The Residency fee is $1,200 per week.

This fee includes 1 bedroom cottage, large lounge area, dining area, large indoor and outdoor working spaces in studio.

*Partners are allowed on weekends only. Participants are encouraged to embrace the time alone during the week for cultivation of new ideas and directions.
